I’ve always been creative in one form or another but I never found a medium that suited me down to the ground until I discovered scrapbooking just over two years ago. It’s a beautiful way to channel my energy/frustrations/passions and it’s introduced me to a crafting community of gorgeous girls who are so talented, it spurs me on to dream up even prettier projects.
This month, I’ve been busy following Shimelle’s ‘This is why I scrapbook’ challenge. It couldn’t have come at a better time for me, as I already had half a project on the go that explored this very topic. A scrapbook about scrapbooking. I absolutely LOVED making this. Here it is, page by page.
This is why I scrapbook: Photography, paper, pattern, colour, buttons and words, all in one package. A record of what I love. A pleasure to look through. An expression of me. To create something new and meaningful. So I don’t forget. So you will understand. So you will know me. To leave something behind. To unwind.
Collect beautiful things: Tags, postcards, ribbons, buttons, corrugated card, tissue paper, brown paper bads, mags, brochures, cards, envelopes… be a magpie. When I find something pretty, I immediately start wondering about what great things I can do with it – A good day.
I love this little homage to Banksy – I find some of his stuff incredibly inspiring.
Don’t worry if it all goes wrong… Some mistakes are beautiful!
Nothing goes to waste – use it all!
Sometimes a good font can make all the difference. Oh, and Thickers rule.
Hey. Remember you’re supposed to be saving up for a decent camera.
What I saw: an opportunity to share my story.
In love… can I tell you about this great guy?
In love… with Jay, my house, my job, my family, my art, my emerging style… I’m getting there. I want to share it! I’m loving life.
& I heart fashion. It’s all about expression, all of it.
I scrapbook so I can share what I love online. I love being a part of a worldwide creative community.
So, there you have it. My art in a book. Lots of love and lots of paper!

Great album. There are so many special little touches that I love in your album. And did you cover the back in jean material?!? So cool!
